Anne Deighton
Professor Anne Deighton is based in the Department of Politics and International Relations, and the Faculty of History in the University of Oxford. She works on themes relating to contemporary history, international relations, and to the political integration of Europe.
Her major writing project is a political biography of Ernest Bevin, British foreign secretary in the 1940s. She has published extensively on European security institutions; the genesis of international human rights issues in postwar Europe; and the use, and abuse, of military force in the contemporary world.
